Why Nearly Everyone Is Obsessed With A4 Size Glue Stick Terrain
When we started making Glue Stick Terrain, we only thought about the DMs we knew. We wanted to make something people could use to switch to terrain tiles easily.
So we created a free offering. Everyone could print the tiles at home. Then they could use a glue stick and their favorite basing material like corrugated paper or foam core board. The result was a nice set of tiles.
We Only Thought About The States
Like us, all the DMs we know live in the States. So everything went onto US Letter size paper. Everything was a convenient size. Our printers handled it efficiently. Plus, we could store them in three-ring binders. It was great.
We connected to a US audience when we put the tile kits into the store.
We told everyone on Facebook about them. We even added them to Pinterest. And, of course, we blogged about them.
The traffic picked up. People started downloading them. Things were working just like we had hoped.
The Rest Of The World Discovered Glue Stick Terrain
We were delighted to get shoppers from all over the world. But our international visitors weren’t downloading the kits.
We were stumped.
My Mom Nails It
Then one day, I talked to my mom about how things were going. I mentioned that we couldn’t figure out why people outside the US weren’t downloading the kits.
My mom, who knows nothing about technology, says, “Well, maybe they can’t get them because they don’t work in foreign countries.”
God, I love my mom. She is right. The States is just about the only place on earth that doesn’t use A4.
Jeff To The Rescue
So we asked Jeff Bezos to deliver some A4 paper to our doorstep. It arrived a few days later.
Then we opened our favorite desktop publishing software and got busy. After several failed attempts, we got a working A4 version of Glue Stick Terrain.
Now Everyone Can Get A4 Size Glue Stick Terrain Kits
We added a paper-size option to all of our kits. Now, our international shoppers can quickly get Glue Stick Terrain in the convenient A4 size. All you have to do is select the A4 paper size. It will download right to your computer.
Yup, US Letter is still available. So people in the states can add more tiles to their bag of tricks.
